Just a heads up...this Christmas, there will be a story about a man who grows backwards...the preview had him through all stages of life, and it looks like Brad Pitt is playing him as a rebel teenager. The final clip of the trailer shows an old woman, who is presumably his wife leading a toddler by the hand.

Brad Pitt playing a teenager? He's 45 years old!! I'll have to see it to believe it.

If he's aging backwards, he'd be going through the rebellious teen phase while middle-aged.

Actually, no. If you aged backwards, when you were middle aged, you would be...... middle aged!! That's why it is called "middle aged" - because it is in the middle. Even if you take a low life expectancy of, say 70, he'd still be 40 physically while being 30 mentally.

Also, that being the case, what Legls said comes into play... how do you explain a woman giving birth to a full grown old guy? Maybe he hatches from an egg like the kid "born" to Mork and Mindy when "Mork and Mindy" jumped the shark?

the preview showed the baby as being wrinkled and deformed, like midget size. As it progresses, the old man gets taller and younger looking, which was about the time Reva went '...'

From looking at the trailer, I believe maybe the baby comes out with the strength and appearance of an old man, but as he grows up, he becomes physically younger, although still taller and grows mentally. In theory, though, he'd have a long life...

Not so much as a long life as a pre-determined amount, completely impossible to change without factoring in disease or death by other means. Though 80 years is still a long time in my books Razz

Because the movie is based off the short story by the same name.
