Getting out of Hand (Spam update)

Ok guys and girls and herms Smile

This is getting out of hand, I've had to put many fires out tonight so I'm going to come out and say this as a general warning cause its crack down time.

Spamming the forums, flaming users and just generally being mean to people and telling them to F*** off is not alloud. If your found to be doing it, a warning will be given followed up with a 24 hr ban and so on if it keeps up.

On another note,

Stop posting just images in other peoples threads especially if its in art threads telling people how happy you are to see the pics. A post with just a pic saying OMG etc is considered just random spam, and if you find your post deleted within a day or so of posting it that is why.

There will be a full written update on whats going on with the forums, on this weeks update. (I'll be taking care of it this week since C.S is away and we haven't heard from Dreyer.)

Also, posts with just a couple charactors like. -.- etc will be automatically deleted, if your not going to say anything more then just a smile etc please don't spam the forum threads with pointless stuff like that.

2. I think every religion sucks and I won't hesitate to tell anyone on here that it does and won't refrain from expressing my reasonable doubt.
3. There was no gloating over your friend, I criticized your religious thoughts about your friend, I never insulted your friend or suggested she was anything but a good person.

If you send ONE civil PM to a person, and never say a thing to them publicly, and if you receive backlash from them that is uncivil which you then report to an administrator, how should that lead to you receiving a warning??

It makes one think maybe they SHOULDN'T use PM and notify admins about things. Apparently that gets you in trouble.

I think we need horrifying trolls to keep everyone in their place. Just look at some of the people were getting now, mostly Dragonfan and A Real Fox. Sometimes people need a hard slap of reality to help them learn a lesson. And another thing, people take flames WAY too seriously. So you might be of a odd ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, what have you. We don't actually hate you for it. We hate you because you might never shut up about these things or that you may create horrible things stemming from this ethnicity, orientation, religion, etc. Shining Butterfly, we don't hate you for your religion, in fact, it's why we love you. Sure it might be wierd, but this very forum was built on wierd shit. For example, I like to think of myself as an anthropomorphic cat who likes to wear diapers. If that isn't fucked up, I don't know what is.

If someone flames/insults you, you have every right to insult them back. You need to accept that what they are saying might be true, expecially when seen through their eyes. For example, Mewtwo and his disturbing Lion King fanfiction or DragonFan and his innability to accept criticism. They wouldn't accept the flaming. They wouldn't accept the criticism. And because of that, not only did they not learn their mistakes, but now very little people like those two.

Now I am one who will speak his mind, as are many other people on these forums. For example, if you like a certains persons art, you have every right to say so. In fact, it is encouraged. If you don't like someones art, you have the exact same right. Just be prepared to provide reason to your criticism.

Lastly, it seems like you've been really cracking down on flaming, Snowfox. Lighten up a bit, we need people like Mugi to help keep people like A Real Fox and Mewtwo in their place.

TL;DR - Learn to take insults.

The overall tone of the forums have shifted, and I think it should stay like that. This ain't no treehouse, it's a tree fort now.

Well, maybe if the admins were more consistent and didn't pop in only every five months to growl and threaten and make rules about stuff we've been doing since Day 1 that wasn't a problem then, none of this would be going on.

She didn't mean you only come once every five months, she meant you only enforce spam and flaming rules once every five months. Your here all along but most of the time your not actively warning and banning even though people are still flaming and spamming. Things haven't gotten worse lately, FTT is the same as it's ever been, only flaming and spamming will get you a warning and/or a temporary ban for the next 2-3 weeks before everything is forgotten and we go back to our normal routine.

to be fair almost all threads of rubish new artists are flammed and (me for example) using a typo instead of using hate crime I used racist (yes I know they sound nothing alike but still) I got mega flammed and all an admin did was block the thread stating I'm locking this thread because its most probably going to be a flame war...also some mods are critisizing in a negative way...especialy one since I said jap instead of japanese. I said sorry not knowing jap is an insult and she was threatening on a ban and not only that but the mod also said can you seriously be that arogant..jap is never used in wales as an insult...
