| Heya,
Just thought I would share these with you all:
They are collection of poems and other creations which I will add to from time to time...
Ballads:
From the void you were hurld In blood-warm comfort you now sleep Reborn into this world,
Light first toutches you The mother's pain welcomes you here, Into this life now new.
Your screams are welcome signs Of your hallowed little presence. Your sight is in our minds
Peer pressure comes to all, Independence comes at a cost, A-grade students stand tall.
Comes with me in the sun, As the waves crash upon the shore, You and I are now one.
We are waiting here now, The creator has grown silent, Questions of the unknown how.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The patriot.
The atmosphere was electrified with the ever-present pulse of the rhythmic beats. All around, the lights glistened as they went about illuminating the dark room. Dancing along the floor, up the walls and across the ceiling with repetitive grace. The shimmering sphere hung above all like some sinister omen as its many facets radiated and imposed themselves onto all things.
Then of course there were those drowning figures wading amongst themselves, surrendering to the menacing power of the techno-lamentations. They had no faces in the throng for their distinct features were dulled by the constant grinding, thrusting and grasping of the dance.
Yet within this tragedy there was still hope, for everyone and everything was being sacrificed for the sake of one who is loved. From across the room I could see them, raised up so high as to be praised by the lights themselves.
The annual ascendance of this pseudo-sovereign brought about this time of indulgence, of self-gratification. There was so much love, so much…happiness and friendship. If only I could partake of it.
I sat as I always did during such gatherings in the role of the spectator, on the fringe of the jubilant storm. I did not mind. They all knew I was a good friend and my very presence, however marginal, was enough to convey my commitment to the fellowship we all shared. Still, as I sat there in silence I could not help but be reminded of my unease. It was the closeness more than anything, I guess one could call it sisterhood or maybe even brotherhood. Despite all the differences they are the same in principal.
My heart sank; my senses yearned as I witnessed that which I could not fully attain. The forbidden treasure, the unknown pleasure of truly being with those you admire. Those with whom you share a kindred passion for the expression of self.
With this long elusive revelation the space between us became larger and uneven until suddenly it seemed to fade away into some malevolent chasm., its depths shrouded with the shadows of darkest doubt.
Part of my spirit begged for my hands to reach out, to leap across, to grab hold of destiny and seize acceptance. To no avail…the patriot within commanded mindful moderation, being careful not to loose self and risk besieging the very foundations of dignity.
The decision was made. The action questioned at first, yet heeded on the second. On the third as the time drew to a close and the masses were at their most wild I conceded to the darkness and left.

P.S Okay I really would like just a few comments at least...please? |

| I could never really get into anything other than poetry with direct and/or indirect rhyming, so the second I totally spaced on. The set up for the second also totally made my mind wander. As for your first one, it seems a bit too stressed and forced. _________________ Nanami's Lil' Family Sister(s) - Cory Nephew(s) - DDA |

| Yay thank you!
Good to know someone wished to give me some criticisms. To be honest these are examples of my "quicker" works. So, when I create more sustrancial I shall post it.
Thanks again! |

| Poetry is the doorway to the soul as some say, so I would be delighted to see more on here. Stick with the standard stanzas and try to mouth it out at a rhythm and see if it sounds easy on the tongue. Yours is A,B,A. Your A's (As that is obvious from the set-up) rhyme and the B sticks out a bit. Makes rhythm a bit difficult when not having a fourth line for the stanza. _________________ Nanami's Lil' Family Sister(s) - Cory Nephew(s) - DDA |

| I believe there needs to be some clarification here. From what you have said, I take it that you were refering to my ballads? Well, I was told that ballad form is this:
Three lines - A (Six syllabals) B (Eight syllabals) A (Six syllabals)
A's must rhymewith each other.
As to my second peice I suppose I must apologise for this is a piece of story writting using what is known as highen language. It is NOT a poem.
I am glad that you have taken an interest in what I have to offer. Things are a little busyt right now but I shall endevour to create more works. |

| I figured you were using the more common one with the rhyme scheme of four stanzas. It can be lengthened to any really, Iambic metre... I don't know it's been forever since I have studied that stuff. But with a ballad, the more common metre is the four stanzas.
A - 8 B - 6 A - 8 B - 6
^ If memory serves right.
There are so many different ways to do one, so you can really take it in any direction. _________________ Nanami's Lil' Family Sister(s) - Cory Nephew(s) - DDA |

| A new piece...
The need…
The time of Catharsis had come just as it always has done. As eternal as the ebb and flow of times ever watchful course. The journey had begun…
We are kin to those who walk along the ancient pathways. Those who seek to whisper sweet secrets upon the wind in their most elegant tongues. Such things, by law do not concern us for we are bound by the sacred promises of dignity.
The pilgrims go to join with the innumerable ranks of their order. Known amongst themselves either by blood or fellowship. They laugh, they play! Each a part of something so wondrous, yet all together…mysterious. All creeds from all walks of life connected by this hallowed commitment. They hurry in their scores to the forbidden thrones of dulled marble to begin with the cleansing. This is something shared by in our duality. The release of the impurities within the body also acts as the catalyst for one to lead many, thus heralding the coming of Catharsis! For the shrines of convenience offer a chance for the flushing away of all that is unseemly.
If only such things were shared, for we my brothers are of unyielding pride by nature and would never dream of potentially sacrifice what we hold most precious for the sake of…toilet humour.

This is a stylised description of an everyday journey. Sorry for the obvious mistakes. |

| Somehow I like your rather colourful usage of net speak there.
I was sorting through my Docs and I found: - 5 - 0 - 4 - 1 -
Lies
Deceit
Parricide Cloak and dagger Blinded by passion Driven away from truth Salvation is drawing close Hear the screams mingle with the stars The river flows freely from the kiss Soon climax is reached through fire and water. All pain fades as hunger is sated Heart releases the scornful hand The vale falls away to light Vengeance now has its prize Sorrow finds comfort Guilt for solace Catharsis Wishful Death
Here’s to teen spirit
Don’t worry…
I’m not going to bore you with the story of a chastised little childhood. I’ve recalled it so many times already I don’t even know where it came from anymore. Memories of the past are so fragile, so fleeting wouldn’t you say?
The future isn’t much better. They say plan for it but to what end? We can’t see it, so what reason is there in planning for something, which is in itself uncertain?
Enough of this temporal tedium! I’m sick of it. Sick of those who mock the serine subtlety of introspection, that is to look inside one’s self and in so doing, be able to observe, to know one’s own mind.
Mine is stricken with the most insidious of afflictions. Which, plagues me even now. For she sat exactly where you are now. You know the sort. The silent-self-sufficient-siren. Quiet, casual, unremarkable, and practically un-noticeable.
Don’t worry…
Soon it will all be over and I can return to my ever-comforting quilted womb. I keep telling myself that the eyes are just behind mine. That there are people in this world who judge not through sight. However, justice is blind.
“Keep your head down.” Soon now, the seas will calm themselves and the shores shall once again be at peace. The softness of the white sands beneath my feet. The salted scent of the past bringing my hope to the present.
Sehnsucht
I am the ever-present sin. Your God.
The apex of man’s selfish desires.
Come. Let me indulge your forbidden tongue.
Salivate as I sanctify blessings.
To the mournful howls of heavens restrained.
Your pallet is not yet sated my child.
The sacred beast cries out from within you.
Pray. Seek out your first meal ravenous one!
Let your hands reach out and test the ripeness.
The feel of innocent flesh tempts us all.
Now you lie cold in an empty borrow.
Your face gripped by starvations silent scream.
In the end, greed got the better of you.
Like so many in my hallowed service.
Such is the way of hunger…thirst for more! |
